In Valadouro takes place one of the most artistic and personal celebrations of the Holly Week of the region. The Arciprestado of Valadouro organizes a Living Via Crucis following the crosses of Santo Tomé and a staging in the church of Santa Cruz, about the biblical scenes of Jesus Praying in the Garden, the denials of Pedro, the Passion, Crucifixion and Resurrection. The residents of Valadouro take part in this recent tradition, giving life to beautiful artworks which represent the drama and passion characteristic of this date.

Sunday
Representation of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus, triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and the blessing of bunches. Inside the church begins the representation of the Last Dinner of Jesus with the apostles, Jesus pray in Getsemani, arrest, and placing in front of Pilato and sentence of Jesus.
Representation as well of Jesus on the cross, death and loneliness of María.
Wednesday
Representation of the linving Via Crucis with the fourteen stations we can find on the crosses of the way to the church of Santo Tomé.

- 12ª estación :Jesús muere en la cruz.
